Slovenia is a member of the European Union. The Slovenian currency is called Tolar, its abbreviation is SIT (Slovenian Tolar). The exchange rate is approximately 240 SIT to one Euro. The exchange rate will remain the same until 2007 when Euro will become the official currency in Slovenia. The prices are generally comparable to the prices in the European Union.
